Creating Your Vision for Giving

Brief Description:

Giving is not an easy thing to do; yet we can be thoughtful about it. In this interactive workshop, I’ll guide participants in articulating their values, identifying their interests, and picturing their legacy. Combined, this will enable participants to develop their own vision for giving. By the end of our time together, you’ll reconnect with why you give, feel more focused about your giving, and be able to confidently say, “I’m a philanthropist.”

2 hour Workshop format

  • How understanding these generational differences can build awareness for families

Testimonial:

I find the work Deborah is doing at Enlightened Philanthropy to be more than refreshing. It is clear that this is a world she knows quite well. Her presentation was fresh, informative, interesting and fun. Having worked in the world of philanthropy with high net worth client families and family foundations, I took away some very focused information about the upcoming generation—demographics with new insights and perspectives. Deborah holds the audience’s attention with her style and her wealth of information and is clearly passionate about the work she is doing.”

“In a changing world where all people, all resources, and generous personal engagement are so urgently needed, Deborah is a breath of fresh air and possibility. She appeals and relates well to people from all walks of life—rich and not-so-rich, young and old, enthusiastic and jaded—and, using just the right mix of heart, head and spirit, re-kindles the nascent flame of the exciting personal possibilities available through acts of giving. I can’t think of a single situation or group where Deborah wouldn’t be a good fit. In sum, I recommend Deborah and her services without reservation, and look forward to working with her going forward. Thank you, Deborah!”

Peter W. Johnson, Jr., PWJohnson Wealth Management

“She was inspiring and the entire group loved her talk! Her speech was interactive, touched on many ways of giving beyond the typical ways that we consider in our giving. What I most appreciated was an opportunity to dig deeper inside me, in a very fun conversation, to see how I already give, and how I can move in a better direction of giving to satisfy my soul.”

Lori Silver, Estate Planning & Tax Attorney

“Your presentation really opened people’s minds to the breadth of philanthropy! I appreciated your careful preparation and the way you involved those around the table. Your focus on working with families who want to pass along their philanthropic values to the next generation confirms my hope for the future.”

Lisa Bennett, Hospice Foundation

Deborah Goldstein was a guest speaker at a Seniors Program at Congregation Beth Israel. I found Deborah’s talk to be most informative. She clarified for all those who attended how important it is to make a conscientious decision when planning one’s donations….She was an excellent guest and the feedback I received from all our participants was positive.”
